About reportoli

A studio-floor school for people who make live television

reportoli is a professional resource dedicated to studio production in motion. We cover studio equipment setup, dynamic camera operation, lighting and sound waves, and the smooth, high-quality workflows that keep television news and live shows on air.

Our story

reportoli began with a simple observation from the studio floor: talented people were joining news and entertainment teams without ever having rigged a camera, balanced a key light or called a live cue.

We built practical programmes that put trainees in the same position as a crew on transmission day. Cables are laid, lamps are focused, microphones are checked and the clock is always running, because that is how live production really feels.

Today we work with broadcasters, production companies and independent creators across the United Kingdom who want their crews to move with confidence and keep every show moving smoothly.

How we teach

Three principles shape every programme we run.

Learn on the floor

Every session happens on a working studio set with real cameras, lights and a live gallery, never a classroom slideshow.

Small cohorts

Groups never exceed eight people, so each trainee gets time on every position and direct feedback from an instructor.

Built around workflow

We teach the chain from rundown to transmission, so camera, light, sound and gallery teams understand each other.
